On the Death of the Author - Words Without Borders
by Álvaro Enrigue. This is my favorite short story of ALL-TIME. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to tell someone to read it, but I inserted to opportunity into a Twitter convo before so now I’m just going to remind you people. Note: I prefer the translation that’s in Dalkey’s Best of Contemporary Mexican Fiction (really I prefer reading it in Spanish, but if you absolutely cannot!).
